Participant Benefits

Christ’s Kids Sports Ministry provides unique benefits to parents, youth and young adults, volunteers, sponsors and participants.

The Goal
All God’s children should have the opportunity to participate in sport camp programs and clinics for free. It is the goal of this Ministry to provide this service for the children. To date we have been blessed and have offered the Ministries programs to several groups for free. Some of these groups include: STAND Against Domestic Violence, Shepherd’s Gate, Prison Fellowship Ministry, Love A Child, Allen Temple Baptist Church, Golden Hills Learning Center. There are other agencies that we have identified and will be contacting in 2008. Ultimately upon reaching specific goals all children will be able to come to the events for free.

Parents, Youths, Young Adults and Children
All God’s children should have the opportunity to participate in sport camp programs and clinics that offer a unique alternative to the intense, competitive-based sports camps that are currently offered in our surrounding areas. Christ’s Kids Sport Ministry programs offer a Victory from competition while providing children and parents with the opportunity to:

† Expand Life Lessons, which teach children and parents how to deal with life’s challenging issues, form a biblical perspective. Sports will challenge the mind and body. God’s word will challenge the heart and soul.

† Build New Skills delivered through sports activities and clinics that have an impact on one’s ability to navigate life’s challenges while enabling individuals to deal more effectively with everyday trials and tribulations.

† Develop New Community and Peer Connections, which build fellowship opportunities for parents and children to connect with other, Christians interested in corporate worship and connections.

† Increase One’s Exposure to Christ gaining an eternal direction and salvation experience.

Volunteers
All God’s children should have a desire and knowledge to gain and experience Christ. Additionally, Christ’s Kids Sport Ministry will look for coaches, volunteers and teachers with specific training, background and experience in a sport specialty. Volunteers should possess the following skills: communication, a positive attitude, sports awareness and a
willingness to share the Lord’s word with the children and others. All volunteers willing to give of their time will not be rejected (based upon their current religious status). All volunteers will be required to pass background checks and meet program coaching standards prior to leading / working at a Sports Camp or Clinic.
